User nobody?

Hi there, I am not quite sure but I read a tutorial here somewhere to secure and optimize the VPS and now I dont get emails from if someone logins as root (Yeah i remembering setting up something where I get emails when someone logins as root) and also some other programs wouldnt send out confirmation emails etc...? Anyone know how can I fix it? Thanks
