Remount back up hard drive

Hello, I have a second hard disk for cpanel back up (mounted as /backup) The server has an OS reload with a new hard disk. After adding the second hard disk on the reloaded server, which steps i have to do in order to see /backup again? Will the partitions remain unchanged. Thank you very much for your advice.
