lxadmin dns template
Posted by paul-naama, 09-15-2007, 06:36 PM hello all. i just signed up for a new vps host however i am having trouble setting up a dns template. first, my domain name is registered with westhost.com and i have the ability to change its nameservers anytime. so heres what i have done so far. i logged into my new vps, went to servers then dns templates clicked on ADD DNS TEMPLATE and added the files like so: (i have two ip addresses so i picked the first one) DNS Template Name : MAIN_TEMPLATE Web Ipaddress my first IP Mail Ipaddress my first IP Primary DNS * ns1.mydomain.com Secondary DNS ns2.mydomain.com then i hit add and it goes through then i goto to my westhost.com domain nameserver section and i put in my ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com but it keeps coming back with an error: ERROR: Errors modifying nameservers: nRRPResponseCode 541 I assume this means its having trouble getting through to the ns1.mydomain.com have i done this right? do i need to wait it out ? please help!
