Antivirus for Linux
Posted by bonjurkes, 09-17-2008, 05:59 PM Hello, I am looking for an antivirus that i can install to my Linux server. I want antivirus to have graphical interface. So i can see any virus messages etc. And it should also scan inbound / outbound traffic just like normal antiviruses for Windows. Clamav is free and cool but it doesn't have GUI for Linux, only console. So can anyone recommend any free/paid antivirus solution for Linux with graphical user interface?

Posted by bonjurkes, 09-17-2008, 06:23 PM thanks for link. does clamav scan inbound and outbound traffic at background or does it only scan files when you give order to it?
Posted by Core4Tech, 09-17-2008, 08:59 PM I believe it scans in and out. As to whether it's in the background, I believe it runs as a daemon, so yes, it would kind of be in the background.
Posted by prashant1979, 09-18-2008, 09:57 AM DrWeb is another which runs on Linux and has a GUI. Plesk by default supports DrWeb. However, it is a paid software.
