now, ive been looking at this but cant find out how to do it... what is the best way to make remote reboot/start/shutdown? it could be cool to be able to do it from a web interface in stead off by hand

You need remote reset. It's hardware. All server plug into it. And after you can start stop or reboot server from web interface. We also have KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) and we can reinstall OS or repair it if need. Just need to install a APC Remote switch for remote reboot.

Do you want to do a software reset or a hardware reset?

3 how much do they cost? #4 I would like to be able to reset my server when it locks up.

3 400-500 for 8 outlets, but could be more expensive if you need more than 8 outlets #4 yes it can, but if your server does not boot because of the kernel problem or other settings like firewall that doesn't let you connect, then the reboot switch would not help.

8 outlets is enough ok, my main problem is that the server locks and needs to be manually rebootet to get run again
