Autoplay mp3 on page load
Posted by bambinou, 11-16-2012, 07:12 AM Hello, I have a 5 second greeting mp3 I would like to start on page load. With the below code it works on firefox, chorome and safari but not IE(Latest). Any idea why please? Thank you, Ben

Posted by Herasil, 11-16-2012, 11:11 AM Check out: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_sounds.asp Some of the problems that it lists are "Different browsers support different audio formats" and "If a browser does not support the file format, the audio will not play without a plug-in" It provides a solution using HTML5 and an HTML fallback that might work for you. But dpdp is right, autoplaying sounds can be really annoying for visitors.
